Role Overview
We are currently hiring on behalf of our client in the Food & Beverage sector for a Finance Manager role. The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of the business, ensuring robust financial control, strong commercial insight, and operational efficiency across all outlets and revenue streams. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing cost structures, optimizing margins, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-volume F&B environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial plans aligned with business objectives.
Provide actionable financial insights on revenue performance, cost drivers, and profitability by outlet, product line, and channel.
Partner with operations to evaluate pricing strategies, menu engineering, and promotional effectiveness.
Cost Control & Margin Optimization
Monitor and control key cost components including food cost, beverage cost, labor, and overheads.
Implement and enforce cost control measures to protect margins without compromising quality or customer experience.
Analyze variances and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements across the business.
Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and KPIs.
Ensure clear visibility on financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior management.
Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Operational Finance Support
Work closely with outlet managers and kitchen teams to ensure alignment between financial targets and operational execution.
Support inventory management, stock reconciliation, and wastage control processes.
Drive accountability for financial performance at the unit level.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Monitor cash flow positions and optimize working capital, including payables, receivables, and inventory cycles.
Ensure effective treasury management and liquidity planning.
Compliance & Audit
Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and other applicable requirements.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and adherence to regulatory standards.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Establish clear processes and streamline financial operations to enhance efficiency
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
8–10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong background in the F&B, hospitality, or retail sector.
Solid understanding of cost structures, inventory management, and multi-unit operations.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, reporting tools, and ERP systems.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.
